I have been waitin for this spot to open and before i go into my opinion i want you to know that first of all- i am not a jay-z fan. second- nas ether blew his shit up. third- i am still giving this place props even though its jay-z property. The honeys are dope,... playas check it it out, but dress propa and look good. You will want to impress up in here. |

OK - so you know I love a good sports bar. I should have expected disappointment when Jay Z was behind this joint. There are only a few tv's and the drinks are on the expensive side. The crowd did not seem to be too thrilled with the place either which made it even more of a disappointment. Go to a real sports bar instead. |

Hey gals, since most of you don't go to sports bars for the sports, you might find this place to your liking. More people are hanging out rather than addicted to the tvs. There were some fine men here when I went. Be careful ladies - alot of the guys seemed like they are pretending - if you know what I mean. |

Everything about Jay-Z's latest venture is cool, from the sleek flat-screen televisions to the gray Italian marble floor and the suspended swinging lounge chairs. Unfortunately, when the club is less populated, the cool feeling can turn into a cold and sterile one. If you've got game, head to the second floor, which has an additional bar and some very, very VIP rooms. |

I think this guy Smirnoff is a racist a$$ wipe and he needs to go to a boring Irish pub to find what he is looking for. Jay-Z's 40-40 is the best sports bar I ever entered. It's well known for it's well-dressed, sophisticated crowd. It's classy style, great food and great music makes the place a smash! And don't listen to Smirnoff, there are a lot of flat screen TV's there and they are HUGE!

Well, I dunno what the fuck alot of ya'll bitchin about? Me & my party of 3 3 had a BALL, didn't have to wait outside in the reasonably lond line with the rest of the poser's & herbs.If $12 drinks are too much for you to enjoy, get a 6/12 pack and stay the fuck home.Much Love to the whole operation.

I went there last night It was a nightmare. I guess only rapist should go to that place. Cuz they rapped my wallet off with a $12 drink + gratuity automatically added. JAZZ stay in rap not rapped.

Perhaps I caught this bar on the wrong day, but it did not live up to the hype! I came to this spot thinking it would be ideal for watchng football and what do they have on no less then 6 screen when I arrive...The Lions and the Chargers. What? There are damn near playoff games on and this is what you have on your multile screens? Pathetic. Then we order...the nachos are cold and the cheese is tasteless...the fries (supposedly spicy fries) are ordinary, and the drinks are just as bland. Then my boy hates his drink, doesn't drink it, wants to send it back and he get some attitude from the manager! I will never venture there again...not somehing I would expect from Young and his penchant for excellence...thumbs completely down...

I was there last night, it was freezing outside, it was a 20 minute wait--that was crazy. I won't complain about the expensive drinks. I hated the bathrrom, its for both men and women, with smoked glass dors, I know some dude was looking through the door for cheap thrills. What was going on in the vip i have no idea, the music was good , crowd was ok, its a little on the small side, i do not suggest that you go there if you want to dance.

I'm sorry Jay Z but serious issues with the service they need to get some training or some shit for real. The lounge is cute but is not hot I like to go to places to have fun not to sit around looking at some R. Kelly and Mr. Big wanna be's

it is a really nice place. just for the grown and sexy,but it isn't that way right now. it is a club not a sports bar.which makes it very tight and uncomfortalbe for mature crowds.maybe if you add more intimite seating it would cut the club scene out.

I've honestly been waiting for this club to open because I really wanted to see what Jay-Z has to offer. This is a place where you go and be classy. a classy place for classy people. Good going Jay-Z My friends and i had a lovely time and we will be there time and time again.

If you want to pay $12 a drink and have gratuity automatically added into your bill with horrible service this is the place for you. It looks cool, but that's about as far as it goes.

WACK WACK WACK is all I have to say. If you are not a High Roller then they roll your a$$ right out the door. After spending at least $300.00 between the 6 of us, we were told that our area was reserved for another party. So we thought we could dance to work up a sweat so we can get thristy to order more drinks, NOT, because the Bar/Room was closed and would not open until 11pm or 12pm depending on who you asked. I felt lost and very out of place, so what else was a girl to do but leave and never look back.
There was so many hostesses with nothing to host, this place is a waste of time and money.
I rated it a 1 since I did enjoy my catfish fingers.
verything else was Wack Wack Wack.
But I still love you Jay.

I totally agree, if you aren't a "baller" you're treated as if you're taking up space. Yes, the 40/40 Club is a nice spot and the food was tasty. However, I found the drinks costly. My twelve dollar "Baseline" drink and ideal chit chat with my girlfriends were the highlights of my evening.
I probably won't return to Jay's place unless I'm with my fiancé. Two hours tops would be more than enough for me. Sorry Jigga Man. I can think of other things to do with my hard earned $200 bucks. LOL!
