The well-dressed revelers mingle with live drummers whose sounds complement the DJ's mix of house, hip-hop and reggae on the packed floors of both rooms. The VIP lounge sits a few feet above the main hall where patrons grind or recline on low moss couches circling the periphery of this cathedral space. The winner at this nightly Carnivale is always the staff, decked in flowing robes and Venetian masks--they lend a sultry feel to the otherwise Renaissance Faire aesthetic.
