One hundred and fifty champagnes (20 by the glass) are just the beginning. Among the more unusual offerings is a sparkling pear wine (made from 300-year-old trees) that's russet-colored with a dry, subtle flavor. The bubblies go great with spring rolls filled with morsels of smoked salmon, goat cheese or crab, and small handmade chocolates (but skip the medicinal chocolate-cherry cocktail). Downstairs is the sceney spot for groups, while the upstairs lounge--with a sprinkling of hideaway nooks--beckons couples. With crowds varying from sparse to dense depending on the night, the DJ-equipped space has drawn the likes of Uma and De Niro, and more than a few fashion tarts, sipping their sexy Baby Piper bottles through a straw.
