If you make it past the doormen with your party intact, good luck finding somewhere to sit. This long, narrow railroad apartment of a club is ringed with empty, cordoned off tables, while all-access areas are highly trafficked with 30-somethings looking only slightly spruced up from a day at the office. The far end of the room holds a postage stamp-sized dance floor surrounded by dated, stretched white Lycra forms, all the better to box in the earsplitting acoustics. Behind the bar are giant Cibachrome images of imaginary patrons having fun. Sadly, the esteemed Lotus and Dorsia design team opted for a muted Santa Fe palette, which lacks only tumbleweeds.
