Second Nature is a trendy East Village bar brimming with the tailored set. Packed doesn't even begin to describe the interior of this watering hole with an anything-goes party vibe. From whiskey sours to screwdrivers, all drinks are served up in filled-to-the-brim plastic cups that make spilling on yourself or someone else more an inevitability than a possibility. But beyond the congested narrow bar area and its pastel walls, a beaded curtain leads to two dimly lit, sofa-filled lounges and a smoking room in the back. The deceptively spacious interior, in tandem with the well dressed fraternity- and sorority-type clientele, gives the place a posh air. A DJ spins such diverse fare as Jay Z, Tony! Toni! Tone! and old-school Madonna. Though the ubiquity and volume of the speakers beg for dancing, the place is so full of bodies, there's barely room to breathe let alone get your groove on.
