The minimal, high-ceilinged, red-walled space would make a nice backdrop for a couple of Rothko paintings, which vibes well with the crowd of artists and musicians who gather to watch fresh-faced bands jam on the back stage. Perched high above the main room, DJs often warm the crowd up or close out the night, but this bar is about the bands not the backspin. A couple of padded church pews line the periphery of the main room and several more can be found downstairs, where the bathrooms are hiding. Bands who can't quite land Sin-e try their live performance luck with a receptive crowd who appreciate the affordable drinks. Friendly barkeeps man the sizeable wooden bar, mixing up tangy margaritas and more standard vodka-tonic fare. Bud, Heineken, Magic Hat No. 9 and Sierra Nevada grace the tap, and patrons can also swig wine by the glass. (Source: Citysearch.com)
