After-work drinkers come to carouse with mates while keeping an eye on the game. Seats can be hard to come by, but that results in plenty of mingling. Patrons pick at slightly upscale bar food, in the form of sandwiches and burgers as well as the usual staples of calamari, nachos and cheese fries. Ive been to PROOF a few times for happy hour, late night and a couple times to watch the Yankees, it was great each time, but varying crowds. Happy hour is mellow and the waitresses and bartenders are all surprisingly hot and personable. The times when big games are on the place is packed and its a fun place to watch a big game and the food is pretty good, but a little pricey ($10 for a four slice pizza?) I've definitely made Proof a local hangout for myself and id recommend it.
