Wondering why this black-fronted bar with three smallish compartment-like rooms calls itself Openair? "It's a state of mind," says the amiable bartender. Kick back on a couch in the middle room and take in whatever's playing on the sleek line of video screens. If you're feeling lucky, head for the minimalist-swank room (often VIP) at the far end. Hard-core electronic music lovers and tech heads used to come for the on-point music and the impressive sound system. Openair has added a more accessible agenda bringing in a different crowd with theme nights spanning karaoke, rock and classic hip-hop. The decent drink prices, minimal attitude, excellent sound system and Guinness on tap keep the appeal fresh. (Source: Citysearch.com)
