Tenth Avenue has rapidly morphed into a playground for 20-somethings playing and paying with daddy's credit card. Opting for a more relaxed, mature atmosphere, John Libonati and Chris Schutte remodeled a former historic hotel and created a sleek conduit for that most noble nighttime cause: meeting fellow New Yorkers. Long rectangular leather couches encourage friendly mingling, while twinkling Lite-Brite games and huge plastic-covered chandeliers offer easy conversation pieces in the bar's comfortable space. If one is looking for laid back good time free from all the pretension new york city has tto offer they should spare themselves the trip to Brite bar. The staff is unfriendly and the clientele leaves much to be desired.

We were waiting in line for Brite Bar Saturday night and the owner spontaneously came out and offered us an umbrella and drink tickets! That's NEVER happened to me in a NY bar. I LOVE this place!

I found the staff to be very friendly. The doorman was polite even when asking for ID's and the bartenders were fun and friendly. They always look like they are having a good time no matter how slamned the bar gets! We hang out at brite before spending $12 per cocktail at all the attitude bar/clubs that surround brite! I've been on a friday and saturday but decided to go during the week and it had a totally different vibe, casual and less crowded it was great for a quick date drink or client meeting.
